A word from our President after our AGM in 2021.

 

Dear Members,

Like every year, the EMCC Belgium Board is reshaped at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This year, it is a rejuvenated Board, with a lot of energy and enthusiasm to face the many challenges that await us, both internally and externally.

Like EMCC Global at the global level, the number of members is increasing rapidly: 44 (January 2017), 59 (June 2017), 82 (June 2019), 115 (June 2020), 152 (June 2021); that is to say, almost four times in just four and a half years. As a corollary, the number of applications for accreditation has exploded: about half of our members are now accredited, including supervision and team coaching accreditation. We are of course delighted with this growth, proof that the renewal instigated in 2017 by Luc Rossion and supported by successive Boards is bearing fruit.

This growth is crucial for the implementation of our mission and we are evolving our internal structure to continue to provide the best qualitative and human framework to welcome and develop you as a mentor, coach and supervisor. Each of you who contributes by initiating a project, by bringing an EMCC team to life, by taking on operational tasks, ... each of you contributes to the strengthening of EMCC.

Externally, we need to ensure that our federation can support the profession of coach, supervisor and mentor. Therefore, in association with ICF Belgium, we have set up a project to ensure that our federations offer a sufficient framework of self-regulation, recognised at the different levels of power in Belgium. This will give greater visibility and credibility to our coaching professions and will push us to further strengthen the quality of the services we offer you.

We thank you for the trust you have placed in this Board: we will do everything possible for and with you.

I wish you all a good summer and look forward to seeing you in September, hoping that before the end of the year the health measures will allow us to organise a face-to-face event between us.
