La diversité des formations peut parfois dérouter. Certaines formations sont plus axées “savoir-être". Elles privilégient le versant du travail sur la personne et l’approfondissement de l’identité du coach, sa capacité à s’adapter à des situations et des interlocuteurs différents. D’autres cursus sont plus axés "savoir-faire et résultats”. L’accent est alors mis sur l’acquisition de méthodes, de techniques, de grilles de lecture.
